Mermaids For A Day

A special shout out to The Mermaid of Hilton Head for this awesome experience!
Also, I have to give a shout out to my wonderful mermaid friends Marisa, Nicole and Ashley.  Thank you for volunteering your Sunday night to play dress up with me!

Growing up I always compared myself to Ariel from The Little Mermaid. I like to believe Ariel and I are very similar!  Sunday, May 6th I was finally able to fulfill that dream and wear that tail loud and proud.  With that said, this was my first professional mermaid photoshoot so I hope I did a good job at showcasing what this photo shoot enTAILS...see what I did there :)

Side note: The only thing we brought to this photo shoot were our smiles and our spray tans.  The Mermaid of Hilton Head provided everything else (tails, tops, props, etc.) which made it very easy and not stressful whatsoever.

For this particular photo shoot we were focusing on a bachelorette party.  I was elected to be the make-believe bride and wear the special "bridal" tail!  Everyone who knows me knows I love being the center of attention, so I gladly accepted my role as bride. Marisa, Nicole and Ashley wore the "bridesmaid" tails which I think were equally beautiful!

We arrived at Bradley Beach an hour before sunset.  We met the wonderful brains behind it all, Nina and Rick, and we made our way down to the ocean.  This beach is public so everyone walking the beach was front and center to this awesome shoot.  Just keep in mind, if you are shy you will have to get out of your comfort zone, but trust me IT IS WORTH IT!

Luckily the weather was perfect (even the water didn't seem that cold).  We slipped into our amazing mermaid tails and did the "mermaid shuffle" down to the water.  This was a bit of an upper body work out, I like to think it gave my arms the last minute toning they needed!

The photo shoot lasted about an hour and 1/2 and the entire time was filled with looks and smiles from people walking along the beach.  A little girl even came running up to us because she thought we were real mermaids...it made the whole experience even better!

I would highly recommend this photo shoot to a bride-to-be or even just a group of friends.  You get a memorable experience filled with endless laughs because you may look goofy at some points during the photo shoot.

A few days after the shoot we got a link with all of our edited photos.  This is where we could pick and choose which photos we liked and which ones we want to share on our social media pages.
