The Clucking Hens

Forget the jewelry, give me a chicken!

It is official, I am the crazy chicken lady and I am loving every minute of it!  These chickens were a spur of the moment purchase on Easter and it has turned out to be an amazing experience.  This blog post will focus on fashion, friends, wine, great photography and of course my chickens!

Shoes: Macy's
Hat: Nordstrom
(the most expensive piece of the whole outfit)
Earrings: Target
Marisa's Dress: Target
Chickens: Tractor Supply :)

Before I jump into this post I really have to promote my great friend, Ashley Damude.  She is the one behind the camera and the one that made this photo shoot exactly what I wanted!  She does a wonderful job to make each photo shoot professional and super fun.  She is so talented and working with her is fantastic! This was her first chicken photo shoot, and I personally think she nailed it!

If you are looking for a professional photographer with a great personality and extraordinary talent contact Ashley Damude Photography.  You will not be disappointed!

For this post I wanted to channel my inner country bumpkin yet still be stylish and chic...Lowcountry chic!  I picked this black and whit gingham dress from Impressions boutique, straw hat from Nordstrom and of course my chicken, Candy Corn.  This dress was perfect for my country shoot, but it could also be perfect for any summer occasion.  I decided to fancy this look up with a red lip and red heels but, you could also wear sandals or flats and it would look just as chic.

This dress is uncharacteristically tight and short for my usual liking...but summer in South Carolina is deathly hot so bring on the short dresses that give a little room to breathe!

Essentials for summers in Bluffton, SC: short/breathable dress, large hat to cover your hair that's gone crazy from the humidity, a cool and freshening beverage in your hand and a chicken on your head....PERFECT PAIRING!

A true friend is someone who thinks you are a good egg even though they know you are slightly cracked. This is very true! This girl right here knows I am a crazy/cracked person and yet she still agrees to hang out with me on a daily basis!  I have to give a huge shout out to Marisa for agreeing to do this goofy...I mean AMAZING photo shoot with me.  Also, holding a chicken for the first time in her life! Thank you for being a chuckling hen with me!

Bloopers!

I cannot pass up this opportunity to showcase two awesome blooper shots! When dealing with live animals you have to be prepared for them to do whatever they want!  Here are two shots that sum up the majority of our photo shoot:
